I’ve been poking around the idea of getting into camming, mostly as a side gig to earn some extra cash. I’m not rushing into it, but I’ve been doing a bit of reading and watching videos here and there. One thing I keep running into is people saying that picking the right platform can make or break your experience. But everyone has a different opinion. Some say big names are too crowded, others say they’re more secure. So I’m wondering—what platforms are actually popular and safe to start with right now?

Just saw this thread and wanted to say it's kinda refreshing to see people sharing actual info without turning everything into a debate. Forums used to be full of helpful stuff like this. I guess people are slowly coming back around to long-form advice again instead of just TikTok tips.
Yeah, it took me a while to figure that part out, too. I was completely new and was very cautious about where I registered. What helped me was reading articles like how to become a webcam model - it gave me a really balanced view of the main platforms, what to look out for, and how to be safe and manage from day one. I'm still considering whether I should become a webcam model. Personally, I started with a more niche platform and then transitioned to a larger one once I felt confident, and it has helped me a great deal.
